Again, let's do some calculus! So for Galliano (sad for the chap who's in court for his hearing) S/S 2012, you've got it right! It's an infusion of military, red indian, trashy rocker, and yeah.. You can include Baywatch in too.
I'm not that much of a fan for bold colors, but that doesn't mean I do not appreciate the existence of it. At every catwalks of Galliano, it has always been fun, poetic, extreme; well.. Drama you may call it. But hey, that's what that gives character no? It's always a joy and amusing seeing works of Galliano!
For MFW S/S 2012, Galliano took a trip down memory lane and revisited the 1960s era. Frankly speaking, an immediate reaction when I chance upon his collection was that I thought of Paradisco! -a French gay musical short film on everything disco in the 1960s. (I'll have the videos attach at the end of this post!) It is evident in his collection that it is not heavily serious as some other designers had their collections as. Like I've said, all the bold flamboyant colors dominated his show whilst he had some rocker looking outfits to tame down the fun a little! Also, that's probably one of the reasons why I like this collection of his; for he infused colors and black together, pretty well! We all know that S/S gives us the liberty of stepping out of house feeling a-okay dressed as paddlepop, but seeing some blacks and monochrome in a S/S collection is no doubt a good breather!
Seems like not only do girls but Galliano wants to have fun too! Even when at the beach.
